An excellent education received at Eagles Flying. The day started with the birds of prey show, where we got to see a variety of birds up close. These included different types of eagles, owls, vultures, kestrels, sparrow hawks and buzzards. For more information on the show please click here. The day continued with a trip to the on site pet farm where we viewed pot-bellied pigs, saddleback pigs, donkeys, ferrets, goats, peacocks and shetland ponies We then moved onto a dissection of a goat and concluded with individual rat dissections. Both these activities were extremely informative and linked well with our Animal Anatomy and Physiology module.
